7GC has promoted Chris Walsh from senior associate to vice president. In this role, Chris will continue to work closely with 7GC’s San Francisco investing partners to identify technology opportunities in the early-growth venture ecosystem.

Chris joined the firm at the beginning of 2020 with a strong focus and expertise in late-stage investing within enterprise software and financial technology. He will look to continue to build out the firm’s investments and source new thematic investing trends and areas. Since joining, Chris assisted and worked closely on the investments made by 7GC in The Mom Project (invested in March 2020) and Jio Platforms (invested in July 2020).

Before joining 7GC, Chris worked at Empros Capital, a boutique merchant bank that focused on late-stage technology companies. Chris started his career at Disruptive Technology Advisers. Chris holds a BA from Wesleyan University.
